PharmaNL published a feature this week on INFECTORY, the shared development infrastructure project INFECTA is leading together with LUMC, UMC Utrecht, FAST and AHAM Vastgoed.
The project aims to build a Dutch GMP production facility for bacteriophages, viruses that can target bacteria directly, making them available for clinical research into infections that no longer respond to antibiotics.
In the PharmaNL article, project leads Meta Roestenberg (CEO INFECTA) and Wilfried Bakker (Director INFECTORY) discuss the design of the facility and the broader societal urgency around antimicrobial resistance.
